Fellow RAM Members

This month’s meeting will center around Civil 3D Piping Networks.

The presentation format has yet to be determined, but the input is based on pressurized piping systems.  Also, a brief overview of AutoCAD 2014 will be presented, time permitting.

Bring your friends & coworkers. Family members are also invited. This is a great opportunity to mingle with your other group members.  As usual, there will be light food and beverages.

This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of BIM methods and procedures company wide.  The individual in this position will implement job specific BIM plans and strategies utilizing Revit and other tools to ensure best practices for projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: [The tasks, duties and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done.]

• Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement.
• Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all plans produced.
  • Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
• Leader in Eagle Construction’s E3 / Green Building Effort
• Develop, execute and manage Eagle Construction’s Safety Program
• Develop and implement project process improvement(s).
• Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with vendors, clients, and business partners.
• Lead internal and external BIM project meetings
• Work with project superintendents to optimize scheduling.

• BIM      Practices:
  • Implement       Lean Building Practices
  • Improved       visualization to reduce uncertainty, improve safety, work out problems,       and simulate and analyze potential impacts.
  • Improved       productivity due to easy retrieval of information
  • Assist       project teams in BIM project setup and help resolve design issues.
  • Increased       coordination of construction documents
  • Embedding       and linking of vital information such as vendors for specific materials,       location of details and quantities required for estimation and
  • Increased       speed of delivery

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

• Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite.
• Experience with      a residential construction CRM system preferable.
• Must be      proficient with Revit and other computer aided design software (Ex.      AutoCAD)

• Ability to create Revit work sets and understanding of Revit work sharing process.

• 3D Modeling      Experience

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in architecture, engineering or construction-related field.

And/or

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using Building Information Model (BIM) processes, applications, and project support.
• Previous homebuilding experience preferred.

The presentation will provide a high-level overview of Revit Structure, its capabilities, integration with the other Revit product, and also highlight the various analysis functions that are also part of the program.
